Roots & Wings: A Therapy Group for Teens

An 8-week therapy group for teens navigating anxiety, grief, identity exploration, and life transitions. Through structured activities, peer support, and body-based coping skills, this group helps adolescents feel more grounded (roots) and empowered to explore and grow (wings).

Built around the values of safety, curiosity, and connection, each session offers a mix of movement, self-reflection, creative expression, and open conversation — all guided by a trauma-informed therapist who specializes in adolescent mental health.

Participants will build emotional vocabulary, practice in-the-moment coping skills, explore identity and self-worth in a supportive peer context, and strengthen boundaries, confidence, and emotional resilience.

Sessions include guided discussions, creative expression, body-based practices, and peer support. The group is rooted in compassion-focused therapy, narrative processing, and somatic grounding — honoring each person's unique grief timeline and cultural context.

The group draws from acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), polyvagal theory, and narrative therapy. It balances emotional processing with practical coping skills and honors spiritual, cultural, and family frameworks for caregiving, death, and grief.

Grounded in trauma-informed care and relational therapy, the group blends traditional mental health support with ecotherapy and experiential learning.

Weekly outdoor sessions include hiking, mindfulness practices, nature-based activities, and group dialogue. The approach emphasizes autonomy, curiosity, and peer connection over pathology.

Kids explore their feelings, strengthen relationships, and build skills they can use at home, at school, and in daily life — all in a space that is safe, empowering, and developmentally appropriate.

An 8-week therapeutic support group for LGBTQIA+ adults seeking a safe, affirming space to explore identity, deepen self-compassion, and connect with others in the queer community. Whether you're newly out, questioning, healing from past harm, or looking for meaningful connection, this group offers a space where all parts of yourself are welcome.

Facilitated by a queer-identified therapist, the group is grounded in trauma-informed, relational care — blending open dialogue, gentle structure, and creative expression. Core themes include identity development, shame resilience, navigating relationships and chosen family, grief around religious or familial harm, and queer joy, embodiment, and possibility.
